Hoitolatukku

Description

Suomen Hoitolatukku is the largest wholesaler for beauty and wellness professionals in Finland, with more than 5,500 products from over 75 brands. Its WordPress/WooCommerce store, with product data managed in Akeneo, lets registered salons order at trade prices with next-day delivery, and also offers training courses, a blog and a repair service.

My role

Owned the Akeneo PIM and the WooCommerce store end to end, from discovery with the client to delivery.

My contributions

• Delivered bundle products across the whole stack: ERP-to-Akeneo sync, a bundle editor in Akeneo, a custom WooCommerce REST controller, and bundle-aware product page, add-to-cart and stock sync
• Built the events feature from discovery to launch, shaping requirements with the client
• Rebuilt the product listing and product pages in Elementor, with FacetWP filters and sorting
• Cleaned up the codebase and removed unused WordPress plugins without breaking the site
