Migration of a B2B Magento ordering portal from Adobe Commerce to Magento Open Source, for a Philadelphia food distributor.
Julius Silvert is a food distributor founded in 1915 and based in Philadelphia. Its Magento B2B portal lets foodservice customers see their custom pricing, build order guides with requisition lists, reorder past orders and place orders before a daily cutoff for next-day delivery.
The project was a full migration from Adobe Commerce (Magento Enterprise Edition) to Magento Open Source, combined with a Magento version upgrade. Every existing feature had to be replicated: simpler ones were built from scratch, others were covered by third-party Magento 2 extensions that we installed, configured, customized and, where needed, migrated data into.
